Jared Harrington - CEO/Head of Basketball Ops
Jared Harrington is the CEO and head of Basketball Operations at Elevate Hoops NYC. Growing up in Washington DC, Coach Jared gained a wealth of basketball experience playing college basketball and then having a 6-year professional career in Asia and the BAL (NBA Africa League). Basketball has taken coach Jared across the world, and he is excited to share his basketball expertise with the Elevate community. As CEO Jared is focused on company partnerships, operations and parent relationships.
Coach Jared played college hoops for Albany State University and for Cobra Sport in the NBA Africa League. He has hosted basketball camps and clinics across the world in Asia, Africa, and the United States, notably in Virginia where he hosted a clinic with NBA Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins
Jared Harrington is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and former professional athlete, He is the founder of NGO Beat the Odds Global, Minority shareholder of Orion Basketball Club (Rwanda Basketball League) and board member of the Cape Verde League. Also Co founder of Europe's Elite LLC.
Alex Mattina - CMO/Head of Basketball Training
Alex Mattina, a native of the Upper East Side, where grew up playing all around New York City and with various basketball organizations. With over 20 years of basketball experience, including working with NBA players, Overseas Pros, and NBA trainers, Alex has discovered his passion for basketball training and skill development. Before transitioning to training and coaching, Alex excelled in the sport, playing 4 years of Varsity Basketball in High School and continuing his journey in College Basketball at Baruch College and Hunter College.
As Chief Marketing Officer and head of basketball skills development, Alex takes pride in growing the Elevate brand, and making sure the kids are getting the correct exposure and coverage to get noticed and see their growth. Alex oversee’s and provides cutting-edge training techniques to all Elevate coaches to make sure the program is developing kids the right way
Over the past 7 years, Alex has gained diverse coaching and training experiences in youth basketball. Having worked with one of the city's top AAU programs, coached High School Varsity teams, and spearheaded Summer Basketball camps, Alex is now dedicated to mentoring and paying it forward to young athletes.
